Gurdwara Sujan Singh Park was built by Sir Sobha Singh ji and Lady Sobha Singh ji on land donated by them and with the traditional sewa and support by the Sangat which had migrated from West Punjab (Pakistan) in 1947. |

Sir Sobha Singh and Lady Sobha Singh were great philanthropists. The Gurdwara is managed by a Managing Committee. Bibi Amarjit Bhagwant Singh, sister in law of Sardar Khushwant Singh, is the President, Dr. H.S. Dhupia, an eminent physician of Delhi is Senior Vice President and Dr. IPS Kalra, a Senior Physician Cardiologist is Vice President. |

On the passing away of Dr. Surindrajit Kaur, Chief Medical Officer, Central Government Health Scheme, the management of Gurdwara Singh Sabha, Sujan Singh Park passed a Resolution requesting Dr. IPS Kalra to start medical services (Primary Medical Care) for the poor and needy as part of the social and philanthropic activities of the Gurdwara in memory of Late Dr. Surindrajit Kaur wife of Dr. IPS Kalra. She had been rendering great service in the form of Primary Medical Care and Family Planning to the community as a whole in Government service. She was also a great philanthropist. She did W.H.O. Fellowship in Family Planning and visited UK, Sweden, Italy and Bulgaria and was always of the opinion that if the women of our country were educated, the family planning problem and child health care would automatically be solved.. |
